Developed in stages beginning in 1967, The Allendale Community for Mature Living has evolved into a full-service retirement community where residents can enjoy an individualized lifestyle tailored to their specific preferences and needs. While each facility provides its own distinct program, the Community's services and activities overlap as required or desired.
The Community's primary goal is to maximize independence for each resident while providing a comfortable, warm and elegant environment. In addition, programs and services are designed to help residents reach their full potential. In many cases, seniors who begin their residency under the intensive care of The Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center are able to move into Carlton Court or The Atrium.
Staff and Key Management
Dr. Hector R. Giancarlo, M.D., F.A.C.S., the Founder and President of The Allendale Community for Mature Living, was a prominent E.N.T. Surgeon in New York City and former Chairman of Otolaryngology at the New York Eye and Ear Hospital. In many ways, Dr. Giancarlo is a pioneer in the senior living industry: The Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, Carlton Court and The Atrium were all among the first facilities of their kind in New Jersey. Dr. Giancarlo has also sat on the N.J. Department of Health Licensing.
